The Walas Group recently acquired a couple of very interesting projects.

April 24th an agreement with the City of Tilburg was signed for the Smederij in the Spoorzone (former train station complex and factories). Walas Projects will make a businessplan for the functional concept that was completed in 2011. In the next 5 years the Smederij (the Forge) will be the home of a cluster of activities that Walas will develop with local partners from Tilburg. Connex, SHFT and Mundial Productions have signed on as participants. Other local entrepreneurs have shown their interest as well. A prositive and refreshing start of a promising project.

In the last week of April the City of Heerlen announced that its former CBS complex will be sold to the Walas Group. Walas Concepts designed a mixed-use concept for the 600.000 sqft complex titled EcoGrowth Center Heerlen. The official restart will be May 7th. We are looking forward to receive our minister of Internal Affairs, Liesbeth Spies to perform the formal re-opening.
